Vintage Hagstrom - Serial numbers

All Hagstrom instruments and amplifiers, made in Alvdalen between 1958 and the beginning of the 80s, have a unique serial number. The serial number is structured so that the first three digits indicate the series and the last three digits indicate the issue number in that the series. In the latter part of the 70th century it started to add the prefix 53 before the serial number, which means that these instruments have a serial number to eight digits.

NOTE!

If you are offered to buy a Hagstrom instrument that do not have serial numbers, you should think again before you buy it. One is that the instrument then lost much of its soul and is also the chance / high risk that it is not in the original condition in respect of parts, paint, etc..

NOTE!

If you want to know the production year of your Hagstrom vintage guitar, bass or amplifier, you can send us an e-mail with picture and the serial number of your instrument to info[at]hagstrom-vintage-guitars.se
